BASE CAMP & LODGING
A remote sanctuary in the Maya Forest
Our base camp has three rustic, comfortable cabins inside the Dos Lagunas protected area. One includes a private en-suite bathroom. The other two share a clean facility immediately beside them with two toilets, two sinks, and two showers.

Panthera works alongside Francisco Asturias, FUNDAECO, CECON, and the authorities responsible for Mirador–Río Azul National Park and the Naachtún–Dos Lagunas Biotope.

50% of our profits are donated and used exclusively for conservation priorities inside the protected area.

Funds support habitat protection, camera traps, wildlife surveys, and water-source monitoring.

Are wildlife sightings guaranteed?
No. All wildlife is completely wild and free. Our local knowledge, hides, and monitoring sites provide excellent opportunities for ethical observation.
How do I reach the expedition?
Fly into Mundo Maya International Airport in Flores. Our team meets you and provides private transportation to Dos Lagunas.
When is the best time to visit?
Our primary season is May through July, during the first rains.
How does my expedition support conservation?
